Volunteer with WiPP: Help Elevate and Empower Women in the TradesWomen in Plumbing & Piping (WiPP) is a growing nonprofit organization founded in November 2023 to support, connect, and celebrate women across the plumbing and piping industry. As we continue building momentum, we’re excited to launch our first-ever volunteer program, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to help shape it from the ground up. All volunteer roles are new, offering a unique opportunity to be part of building something meaningful from the start. Volunteers are the lifeblood of any successful nonprofit, and your energy, ideas, and leadership can help lay the foundation for WiPP’s future. Why Volunteer:
We’re currently recruiting for the following inaugural roles: Volunteer CoordinatorLead the development of WiPP’s volunteer program! This brand-new role is ideal for someone who loves building community, empowering others, and bringing structure to new initiatives. You’ll help recruit, onboard, and support fellow volunteers while working closely with WiPP leadership to ensure a positive and impactful volunteer experience. Awards Program CoordinatorHelp create WiPP’s inaugural awards program to recognize and celebrate exceptional women in the plumbing and piping industry. You’ll be involved in everything from defining award categories to promoting nominations and supporting the selection process Education CoordinatorHelp develop and coordinate six 1-hour webinars per year (bi-monthly) featuring topics that educate, inspire, and support women in the trades. You’ll help identify and recruit speakers, shape the content, and promote each session.Events CoordinatorHelp identify key events—conferences, expos, industry gatherings—where WiPP should have a presence. You’ll assist with researching opportunities, estimating costs, coordinating volunteer attendance, and ensuring WiPP is professionally represented. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys event planning, outreach, and promoting a cause they believe in. Social Media CoordinatorGrow WiPP’s digital presence by creating and posting engaging, industry-related content twice per week on our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys content creation and wants to help amplify WiPP’s voice online. Sponsor LiaisonAssist with outreach to potential sponsors—companies and organizations that believe in WiPP’s mission and want to invest in our Four Pillars: Mentorship, Education, Connection, and Recognition.
