WiPP Scholarship Program

 

Women in Plumbing and Piping is proud to announce the launch of our Scholarship Program, specifically designed to support and encourage women pursuing careers in the plumbing and piping industries. This program aligns with our commitment to foster diversity, provide educational opportunities, and promote professional growth in these fields.

In addition to the sponsorships provided by WiPP, we have partnered with the Bradford White Women's Network who is committed to advancing women in the industry through networking opportunities, workforce training and development, and supporting communities and causes where we live and work. 

About the Scholarships

  • WiPP Scholarship: On behalf of WiPP and the sponsors who have made this program possible, we are excited to award five (5) scholarships of $2,000 each to women pursuing careers in plumbing and piping. We extend a special thank you to our Pillar Sponsors, Ferguson and NIBCO, for their generosity.

  • WiPP & Bradford White Corporation Women's Network Scholarship: On behalf of the BWC Women’s Network, we are pleased to offer two (2) scholarships to individuals who have demonstrated why a career in the trades is important and helps fuel their passion and future success.

Scholarships Offered: Two (2)
Scholarship Value: $3,500

NOTE: To apply for the BWC Women's Network scholarship, you must submit an additional essay on why you are pursuing a career in the trades. Essay guidelines can be found here. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for either Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Identify as female.
  • Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited trade or vocational school, or a related program within the plumbing and piping industries.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in the plumbing and piping industries.

Use of Funds

Scholarship funds can be applied towards:

  • Tuition for trade/vocational schools.
  • Attendance at Industry Education Conferences.

  • Educational fees, textbooks, and class supplies.

Available: June 3rd - July 15th, 2024

Applicants will need to submit:
  • A completed application form.
  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance into a relevant program.
  • A personal statement outlining their career goals and why they are pursuing a career in the plumbing and piping industries.

  • Any additional documents as specified in the application form.
